Meet Nancy Constantino,

RN, BSN, NC-BC & Founder of Breathe Body Wellness

I’m Nancy, a Board-Certified Nurse Coach specializing in helping individuals diagnosed with Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) regain control of their breath and health through holistic methods. With over 23 years of nursing experience, I combine clinical expertise with a focus on the mind-body connection to create sustainable solutions for my clients.

In 2020, as an Infection Control Nurse Manager overseeing more than 300 medical practices during the height of the pandemic, my career took an unexpected turn. The long hours and intense stress led to personal health challenges, including anxiety, heart palpitations, and debilitating shortness of breath. Initially misdiagnosed with anxiety, I was later diagnosed with VCD—a condition where the vocal cords constrict, causing severe shortness of breath during inhalation.

Determined to find solutions beyond conventional treatments, I discovered a powerful connection between the nervous system and VCD management. This realization led to the development of the VCD BREATH System, a framework I designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and bring lasting relief from breathlessness. My approach has already helped numerous clients regain control over their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

As I continue to grow Breathe Body Wellness, my goal is to raise awareness about VCD and expand access to holistic solutions that empower people to breathe better and live fuller, healthier lives.

FYI

The mind-body connection can play a significant role in restoring and maintaining good health, as our mental and emotional states can profoundly impact our physical well-being. The body tells us when something is wrong from a symptom. The mind tells us something is good because of a feeling. The mind-body connection is powerful, and they feed off each other. This understanding provides a framework to begin self-healing. It is important to note that healing does not necessarily mean being completely free of disease; instead, it is a state of mind that plays a vital role in the overall healing process.
